Linda Nagata

Linda Nagata (1960-) is an American science fiction author who won the Nebula award for best novella in 2000 (for "Goddesses"). She frequently writes about nanotechnology and the integration of advanced computing with the human brain.

Nagata was born in San Diego, and moved at 10 years old to the Hawaiian Islands, on the North Shore of the island of O'ahu. After college, she relocated to Maui, where she continues to live. In addition to writing, she is a mother and works full-time programming database-driven websites.

Nagata has dedicated many of her novels to her family members. The Bohr Maker is dedicated to her husband, Tech-Heaven is dedicated to her daughter Dallas Nagata, Deception Well is dedicated to her father, and Memory is dedicated to her son, Junzo Nagata.
