United States District Court for the Western District of Texas

The United States District Court For the Western District Of Texas (W.D.Tex) is the Federal district court whose jurisdiction consists of the counties in the western part of the state of Texas. This district covers over 92,000 square miles (240,000 km2) and seven divisions.
The divisions are:
- Austin, Texas Division
- Del Rio, Texas Division
- El Paso, Texas Division
- Midland, Texas Division
- Pecos, Texas Division
- San Antonio, Texas Division
- Waco, Texas Division
The Honorable Walter S. Smith, Jr. is the Chief Judge of the W. D. Texas District Court.
The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Western Texas represents the United States in civil and criminal litigation in the court. Johnny Sutton is the United States Attorney for the District of Western Texas.
